West Hartford
Fellowship Housing

West Hartford Fellowship Housing is a four-phase redevelopment of a 9-acre site near the town center, transforming 213 outdated 1970s senior housing units into a state-of-the-art senior housing village designed to promote accessibility, safety, and independence. Led by West Hartford Fellowship Housing, Inc., the project will ultimately provide 301 affordable living units for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Phase I, completed in 2025, replaced 22 of the oldest units with 65 modern apartments— 30–40% larger than the originals— with open-concept layouts, elevators, and contemporary amenities. Unanimously approved by the West Hartford Architectural Review Board and Town Council, the project is now in Phase II construction. Recognized as a model for addressing Connecticut’s housing shortage, the new senior housing village reflects a long-term commitment to supporting aging in place and preserving community for seniors.
