Oxoboxo Lofts

Oxoboxo Lofts is the adaptive reuse of the historic Uncasville Manufacturing Company Mill Complex into a 72-unit residential community in Uncasville, Connecticut. Set on a 10.6-acre site along Oxoboxo Brook and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021, the project preserved and transformed approximately 100,000 square feet of mill buildings into modern apartments ranging from studios to two-bedroom units. The design retains key architectural features, including brick masonry, timber framing, and the site’s iconic smokestack, while introducing contemporary layouts and systems that meet current residential standards. In addition to housing, the project includes a clubhouse, fitness center, basketball court, playground, and on-site management, creating a community-oriented and fully amenitized environment.
