Chelsea Gardens

Master Plan

The master plan for this new 80 acre botanical garden facility, designed in conjunction with Denig Design

Associates, landscape architects, contains several large public buildings designed in the Victorian Style to complement the predominant local architectural character of the Norwich area.

Included in the design are an 88-foot tall Observatory, a glass and metal detailed Emporium inspired by Victorian railroad stations, a glass-roofed Orangerie which functions as an entry and lobby area, a single-domed 40 foot high Show House intended for seasonal exhibits, and the 60-foot high Palm House with two angled 30 foot high wings containing a Fragrance House and a Succulent House.
