This 20 unit affordable housing development is sponsored by Co-op Initiatives, Inc. of Hartford, Connecticut, an organization which focuses on the needs of handicapped individuals.  Towards that end, five of the units have been constructed as completely handicapped accessible and the other fifteen were designed to be “visitable” by handicapped persons.  Fifteen units were newly constructed and five were renovated in a circa 1960’s residential building.  Also included in the construction was a new community building with meeting room, office and handicapped accessible restrooms.  Additionally, the project was designed to blend well with surrounding residential neighborhoods of Glastonbury.
