Greenfield Commons

Developed by Mutual Housing of Southwestern Connecticut, Greenfield Commons contains ten 600-square-foot, one‐bedroom apartments for low‐income seniors. The corner site, at the intersection of Greenfield Street and Villa Avenue, straddles a commercial street and residential neighborhood made up of two and three story older homes. Although the single‐story building has a footprint of almost 8,000 square feet, the design’s steep gables and clapboard and shingle exterior fit appropriately into a neighborhood of smaller houses. The building includes a lobby, common room, laundry room, office and basement mechanical room.
