Our firm designed these two new six-story mixed-use buildings, totaling 160 units, on a two-acre site in New Britain, CT.  The first floors host commercial spaces while the remaining five stories are residential apartments.  The first building was completed in late 2019 and will be the first certified Passive House mid-rise apartment building built in the State of Connecticut.  Columbus Commons has also been awarded the 2020 Connecticut Green Building (CTGBC) Merit Award in the Multi-Family Residence Category.
