| This 1828 historic structure, owned by the Connecticut Historical Commission, is the most intact of the only two examples of original Farmington Canal Lock-Keeprs houses still surviving in Connecticut. The proposed use will be a service facility for the adjacent trailway, including two handicapped public bathrooms, a small vending space, and offices and display areas for the Connecticut Rails-to-Trails Assosciation. Funding was provided by the Connecticut Department of Transportation by means of an ISTEA grant.
